High bandwidth memory (HBM)-enabled FPGAs from Xilinx® integrate the FPGA and the memory on the same package, saving valuable space on the PCB, and increasing the system memory capacity.
Xilinx® uses HBM technology on Virtex® UltraScale+™ FPGAs. Xilinx® Virtex® UltraScale+™ HBM devices provide the right mix of memory bandwidth and programmable compute performance. Virtex® Ultrascale+™ delivers the highest on-chip memory density with up to 500Mb of total on-chip integrated memory, plus up to 8 GB of HBM2 integrated in-package for 460 GB/s of memory bandwidth.
